Mechanical pulley Rb, mounted on driving shaft (motor shaft) and spring-loaded pulley Fb, mounted on driven shaft, combine into the pulley set RF b with invariable centre distance. Applicable for reverse direction.
These drive units are designed for use with normal V-belts for special applications. The sheaves of the KRM series are flat disks, those of the RF series have got a comb-shaped surface.
The belts are made up of a polychloroprene rubber compound with fiber reinforcements aligned transversely to the running direction. The high-quality and extremely low-stretch tension cord made of polyester or aramid is embedded in an embedding mixture. It is being reinforced by a fabric layer and offers transverse rigidity without losing flexibility due to the transversely incorporated fibers. The special belt structure allows high dynamic loads with excellent power transmission and controlling properties.
In addition to the compression springs, this drive unit has got a torque-dependent control cam for absorbing sudden, excessive loads or torque peaks on the output side.
This single pulley drive for normal V-belts is assigned to a fixed counter pulley. The spring-loaded pulley is designed either to open on one side (KM) with a flat sheave or to open on both sides (Fs) with comb-shaped sheaves. The speed can be adjusted by changing the centre distance using a motor slide or a rocker.
The spring pulley (Fsb), which opens on both sides, is combined with a fixed counter pulley. The speed is to be adjusted by changing the centre distance using a motor slide or rocker.
The pulley drive and the adjusting element are centrically mounted on the drive shaft together. The advantage of this assembly is, that additional axial loads on the motor shaft bearings do not occur.
